Dr. Sai Malpeddi | Bunker Hill Family Dentist
Dr. Sai Malpeddi is excited to join the LADD Dental Group family and serve patients at our LADD Dental Group of Bunker Hill location.
Dr. Malpeddi brings a strong academic and research background to his dental career. He began his academic journey at Indiana University Bloomington, where he served as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant in Molecular Biology and Biological Mechanisms. Through this experience, he developed a passion for education, communication, and helping others better understand the science behind healthcare.
His interest in research continued through his work as a Research Assistant with the Lapish Lab Group at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, where he gained valuable experience working in a collaborative scientific environment. He also participated in the Clinical and Translational Science Institute Research Associates Program (CTSI RAP), gaining exposure to clinical and translational research.
These experiences have helped shape Dr. Malpeddi into a thoughtful, detail-oriented healthcare professional who values evidence-based care and lifelong learning. He believes that great dentistry is about more than treating teeth—it is about building relationships, listening to patients, and helping individuals and families achieve healthy, confident smiles.
At LADD Dental Group of Bunker Hill, Dr. Malpeddi is looking forward to getting to know the families in the community and providing comprehensive, compassionate dental care for patients of all ages.

Chief clinical officer | Dr. Greg Velligan
We are incredibly grateful to welcome Dr. Greg Velligan to the LADD Dental Group family as our new Chief Clinical Officer!
Dr. Velligan brings an impressive 36 years of experience in the dental profession, with a career that includes clinical practice, practice ownership, dental education, multi-site dental operations, and clinical leadership. We couldn't be more excited to have someone with his experience, passion, and perspective joining our team.
What excites us most about Dr. Velligan joining LADD is his commitment to supporting and mentoring dentists and clinical teams.
We believe that great dentistry starts with great people. Our doctors and clinical team members are the heart of everything we do, and having strong clinical leadership is incredibly important as we continue to grow. Dr. Velligan will help provide our providers with another valuable resource, advocate for our clinical teams, and help us continue to elevate the standard of care we provide to our patients.
Throughout his career, Dr. Velligan has experienced dentistry from virtually every angle. He has practiced clinically, owned a dental practice, worked in multi-location dental organizations, served in clinical leadership, and been involved in dental education. Most recently, he served as an Adjunct Clinical Instructor at Indiana University School of Dentistry and as an Enterprise Dental Director for CareSource, providing clinical oversight and utilization management leadership for dental programs across multiple states.
That diverse experience gives Dr. Velligan a unique understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing dentists today.
At LADD, we don't believe clinical leadership should simply be about policies and procedures. We believe it should be about people, relationships, mentorship, communication, and supporting our providers.

Dr. Ankit Patel received his undergraduate degree from Indiana University in Biology and went on to receive his masters in Biology as well there. Dr. Patel then went on to graduate with a DMD degree from Boston University Goldman School of Dentistry. Ultimately, Dr. Patel went on to graduate from West Virginia University School of Dentistry's Prosthodontics Residency Program in 2014. He moved to Indianapolis about two years ago and really likes living back in his home state. We are thrilled to have Dr. Patel's specialty skill set within our dental group, and we are grateful to be able to offer our patients the highest standard of comprehensive dental care.

Dr. Conkin received his dental degree from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry, Memphis, Tennessee. Upon graduation, he began a career in the United States Navy and completed a general practice residency at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. He practiced as a general dentist for the next two years, serving with and caring for Marines at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. He deployed to Iraq with the Marines in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Dr. Conkin completed an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery residency at the National Capitol Consortium (National Naval Medical Center/ Walter Reed Army Medical Center) in Bethesda, Maryland/ Washington DC. While in residency, he was privileged to care for our sailors, soldiers, airmen, and marines injured during combat in Iraq and Afghanistan. He rotated at multiple hospitals including the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, Washington Hospital Center, and the aforementioned training hospitals. This allowed Dr. Conkin to operate with many world experts on various aspects of oral surgery, head and neck pathology, maxillofacial reconstruction, and facial cosmetic surgery and utilize this knowledge in all aspects of his surgical practice toda
